The Case for Owning Fewer Things

There is a moment that happens in every home.

A drawer becomes difficult to close.

A cabinet begins to overflow.

A shelf fills with products we intended to use.

The solution is usually presented as organization, but sometimes the real solution is less.

Not because possessions are bad, but because every object creates a relationship.

Something to store, maintain, remember, look after, sort through.

The cumulative weight of these tiny responsibilities is easy to overlook.

A product that does more than one thing.

A routine that asks less of you.

A shelf with space to spare.

Sometimes the feeling we are looking for isn't more.

It's enough.
